More on Hilary

Here's a message I received offline:
Your posts about Hillary are interesting...and I think you are right, it isn't OK for her to be vilified just for daring to run while being a somewhat unlikable person, or for what people think of her husband or whatever.

I just can't help thinking that it's so exhausting getting into the fray of who's hating on who and what it says about our culture and our values...I want to discuss, learn about and vote for a candidate who I believe in, not a candidate whom I feel compelled to defend due to some postmodern morality puzzle. I love a good culture smackdown as much as the next person. I just don't think electing a president needs to be so complicated. She voted for the war. She can't relate to everyday realities people face. I never see her listening or thinking - just talking. So, I won't vote for her. Then there's this:

It wasn't even so much the insult to Ghandi or her comparing herself to him, but the insult to all Indian-americans and all hard working gas station owners of non-Indian descent. Which she never apologized for or realized were invoked in her stupid statement.

Anyways, I didn't want to post this publicly on your blog but I AM enjoying the blog and I am very interested in learning about dutch plumbing.
